Our Mission

Due to an increasing number of employees, the workplaces at pom+ Zurich site are increasingly working at full capacity. During deliberations on flexible workplace concepts, the need for meaningful data for effective workplace management was identified.

Solution

In order to evaluate the current situation, all workstations and meeting rooms were equipped with motion sensors from a specialist provider over a period of three months in order to carry out an effective occupancy analysis.

The raw data collected was first exported to Excel and then prepared and analyzed using the statistics software R-Studio. pom+ then used clustering algorithms to perform pattern recognition to identify similar load patterns for different daily and weekly cycles. The results of this analysis were presented in an interactive dashboard in order to make both overall and detailed statements about the occupancy and to derive meaningful measures from this.
